This small Victorian in Marblehead attracted the clients because of its beautiful location and Mansard roofline, but the interior needed a massive overhaul and significantly more square footage. A two-story addition for the master suite and new kitchen was designed for the rear of the house, with new garden-level patio and sunroom above. On the second floor above the sunroom addition was space for a small roof deck, accessed by a spiral staircase. The new roof deck allowed the homeowners an ocean view of Marblehead harbor for first time. The front hallway of the original entrance was blown out to be a two-story space with white shiplap paneling, salvaged Victorian newel post, and blue decorative accents.
