Situated on a bluff in Cohasset, MA overlooking the ocean, this 1800’s Victorian was originally the summer estate of Henry A. & Mrs. Isaphene Moore Wheelwright. Over the years updates and additions were done reflecting the modern time periods, hiding the original elements under these changes. The end result was a jumbled, non-cohesive home.
The home was purchased by a young family who wanted to renovate the home for modern living, while being respectful to the original formal spaces.Much of the inspiration came from the homeowners overseas travel, while keeping in mind that a young family will occupy the home so it also needed to be user-friendly.
“The result is a home that is more than just a place to live, but a work of art that transcends time.” (Boston Design Guide)
