This garage and barn space was constructed alongside the Johnson-Thompson House (c. 1750), a historic home Cummings architects restored and renovated.  The exterior of the barn is constructed out of yellow Alaskan cedar, making up the structure’s roof, siding, windows, and custom carriage doors. The barn was specifically located to save the existing birch trees on the property.
