The homeowners were previous clients looking for a new home for their family. They came across this 1820’s’ Cape-style home in Middleton on a pastoral piece of land.

While the home was spacious enough, previous renovations were not kind to the historic fabric of the home.They wanted to design a space that evoked a feel of the original home and wanted to incorporate exposed beams throughout the kitchen and living spaces, while making the renovation feel modernized and elevated, without feeling stuffy. They pictured the kitchen as the heart of the home, acting as the driving force behind an open floor plan. Additional renovations were done to the mudroom, Primary Suite, and adult and teen entertainment spaces.

We created a casual yet elegant lived-in space for their family to enjoy for years to come.
