The vision for this home combined several complementary projects into a single architectural composition. The existing family room was extended to the rear of the house and opened up with the addition of generously sized, wall-to-wall windows that brighten the space and blur the boundary between interior and exterior. This new space has become one of the family’s favorite rooms with its intimate sitting area, cozy fireplace, and charming breakfast table (the best spot to enjoy a sunlit start to the day). A new deck and bluestone patio offer ideal spaces for entertaining intimate groups, while the kitchen layout was simplified, bringing more light into the rear of the home. Rooms that were previously nondescript gained distinctive details with two paneled fireplaces, window seats, and new mouldings on bay windows.
Each detail in this beautiful design complements the other concepts and details so that the entire plan comes together as a unified vision for a spectacular home.
