Vijay Joyce

Vijay received his degree from the Boston Architectural College in both Historic Preservation and Architectural History. Since then, he has been involved in Preservation circles throughout New England but focused in Salem where he is also the Executive Director of the Pickering House non-profit and Steward of the oldest home in Salem. Sharing the stories of old homes also led to a recurring historian role on HGTVs FarmHouse Fixer. Working on and living among some of the oldest structures in the country has strengthened his knowledge of how individual creativity shapes our built environment and how to best share and preserve those works for future generations to keep learning from.
